Silas Care Centre, a non-denominational organization and a home for prayer and counseling founded by Moarenla Amlari as Director with Nuklu Longkumer and Imna Imchen commemorated its 1st Foundation Day at Silas Care Centre, Dimapur on November 3.
Moa Imsong, Counselor, Dimapur Ao Baptist Church in his speech lauded the Silas Care centre for extending its noble service by way of counseling and providing spiritual strength to suppressed and oppressed lives and needy people, he asked them to reiterate on the way forward.
To his, he cited that the utmost purpose of observing a foundation is envisaged to “retrospect and introspect what we have been able to achieve in the past one year.”
He then encouraged the centre to ponder on the commitment for the way forward and also called upon the gathering to enhance one’s own spirituality by renewing our lives and putting God before people.
He also dwelled on false and true prophets present in the society and added that one should know how to differentiate and choose the good and bad by putting our perspective on God. In this tune, he also asked the people present to also pray for the prayer centres.
A slideshow of the centre’s activity was also shown. Apart from catering to senior citizens day-care, extending prayer support and counseling to people in need and initiating outreach mission, in its one year since its inception, it has conducted spiritual awakening programme, children and youth camp and weekly fellowships.
Silas Care Centre Director, Moarenla Amlari, in her welcome address also expressed that the Centre in its completion of one year has gathered positive response. In its role of operating as an integrated and rehabilitation centre, it has reached and helped several people with personal and relationship problems, alcoholics and substance abuse and other people in need, she mentioned.
Ali, a woman who earlier fought alcoholism and relationship issues in her live also shared a life changing testimony and added that “God was the source of strength that brought me stand among many to share my testimony.” She expressed satisfaction and happiness in being a part of the Silas Care Centre.
