Niuland, February 20 (MExN): The 25th Silver Jubilee MBE Zhuikhu Memorial Trophy Gold Cup will be held from February 22-29 in Niuland Town under the theme, “Blow the Victory Trumpet.” A press release from the organizer, Western Sumi Sports Association (WSSA), informed that a total of 33 teams from the Western Sumi area are slated to participate in the Jubilee tournament.
Jacob Zhimomi, Minister of PHED & Cooperation, Government of Nagaland, will be the special guest of the jubilee tournament, while Hekani Jakhalu, Advisor Industries & Commerce, is the guest of honour. The special guest for the Under-16 competition will be Benjamin Yepthomi, State President BJP Nagaland. The event will also feature an “Extravaganza Night” with special guest Akato Chophy, President NSCN/GPRN (Akato).
The match patrons of the tournament are Er Ahoto Zhimomi, Akukatou Nihokhu village Volleyball (Men’s and Women’s); Kuhoi Zhimo, Former DMC Member, Football Semifinals; and Kiyevi I Swu, ADS, Dimapur, Badminton (Men’s and Women’s). In a press release, the WSSA has extended invitation and appealed all well-wishers to witness the jubilee tournament.
