Describing the past few months where she split with Warne and then watched on as he wooed the sultry Hurley in London, Los Angeles and finally Melbourne as "difficult" and "upsetting", Callahan has told New Idea she is putting her past behind her and is enjoying having part-time model Roberts, 37, by her side.
"Toby's pretty special - inside and out," Callahan said, telling the magazine the romance came out of the blue and at just the right time. I think I accept there is a degree of karma. I am sure everything happens for a reason and my angels are looking after me at the moment." Callahan is understood to have been paid handsomely for the interview, which hits newsstands today. Callahan confirmed to the magazine she and Warne ended their rollercoaster relationship in October and she then had to endure the former cricketing great pursuing a very public, Twitter-fuelled flirtation with Hurley. "I had a difficult few months and it was upsetting," she said.
However she said she was embracing her new life and new man with freedom and confidence. "It has only been a couple of months since I moved out -- but it feels like a lifetime ago," she said. "I'm in a very happy place."
With Warne understood to be still involved with Hurley, even though the sometimes swimwear model cut her recent visit to Melbourne short, Callahan has shown she is no slouch in the bathing beauty stakes. Having shed 5kg and dropped to a size eight since leaving Warne, Callahan has stripped off and posed in a tiny white bikini for New Idea. The 41-year-old mum of three said her sleek figure was a result of jogging to run off stress. " I found pounding the pavement helped me let off a lot of steam at times."
