Sipong Colony High (A) Ward in Tuensang Town celebrated its Golden Jubilee on March 5 at the Treasurer's compound. The event was attended by dignitaries including P Yanger, President of BJP Mandal Tuensang District, and N Imlong, Secretary of Church & Mission, Chang Baptist Lashong Thangyen (CBLT).
The dedication prayer for the monolith was led by Rev Sangba, accompanied by the Hauyang Choba Bagpipe Band playing jubilee tunes as they marched towards the venue. The ceremony was hosted by Mosha and Kongyang. The invocation prayer was pronounced by S Mangyang, followed by the hymn "The Year of Jubilee" sung by the gathering.
N Ajem, President of Sipong Colony, delivered the welcome address, followed by a prayer to remember the deceased led by T Ayemla. Short speeches were then given by M K Yangbou, Village Council Chairman,Chongpho Khel, Tuensang Village, S Imkongkeshang, GB, Sipong Colony, Imti Chang, Joint Director, Treasuries & Accounts, Govt. of Nagaland, and Y Bentama, President, High School (A) Ward, Tuensang Town.
A special song performance led by B Imlong and Benjong, as well as choreography by Sipong Colony Youth. The dedication of the jubilee souvenir and a sermon by N Imlong followed, with H Y Kelep, Convenor of the Planning Committee, Golden Jubilee, delivering the vote of thanks.
The ceremony concluded with the hymn "Lord Dismiss Us with Thy Blessing" and a mass benediction prayer.
