(i)
If you don’t have to leave,
don’t.
If you don’t have to say it,
don’t.
Leave me to my whims
and I will let go
in my own time.
(ii)
Between us
there are no
secrets.
Between us
there are
no codes.
Except,
rules and boundaries
that can never
be broken.
(iii)
Because you
pen all of your
words into paper.
You always seem
out of words,
when we talk.
Perhaps you should
reserve some words
to be spoken
in the privacy
of my company.
(iv)
I don’t want to sit and stare.
I don’t want to imagine.
I don’t want to wonder.
Anymore.
Afterall,
this is all,
there will ever be.
Between us.
