SIT-NU conducts ethical hacking and cyber security workshop

Dimapur, October 6 (MExN): The School of Engineering and Technology, Nagaland University conducted two-day workshop on ethical hacking and cyber security on October 3 and 4 with Deepak K Nath, Robotech Labs Pvt. Ltd as resource person.  

The opening ceremony was graced by Professor SK Sharma, DEAN of NU-SET, it was stated in a press release from Shanchamo Yanthan, I/c Academic and Examination.  

In his speech, Professor SK Sharma encouraged the students to learn hacking not only for knowledge but to improve their job prospects.  

He emphasized the differences between white hat and black hat Hackers and that one must try to learn the skills to be labeled as a white hat rather than a black hat.  

Shanchamo Yanthan, faculty coordinator of the workshop also talked about the importance of securing oneself in a digital world.  

He continued that we can secure ourselves better by knowing the loopholes of computer security.  

Overall, 52 students attended the workshop including two participants from NIT Nagaland.
