Nagaland Director General of Police (DGP) T John Longkumer said the Special Investigation Team (SIT) report on the killing of 14 civilians by army para-commandos in Mon district in December last year, has been sent to Prosecution office, Mon about 10 days ago.
However after some certain observations were made on technical legal points which were ‘minor but important,’ the file was returned, the DGP said when questioned during a press conference at the State Chief Secretary’s office on Wednesday.
Following the return, due diligence was taken and the report has been resent to the Prosecution Office, Mon on June 1, he said.
