Dimapur, September 8 (MExN): An anti-tobacco inspection was carried out around the educational institutions by Dimapur Police under all police stations on September 7. During the inspection, 65 shops were penalised for selling tobacco products near the schools and colleges. A team lead by Tsenpamo Kikon, ACP Hq and Team leader DATS inspected the Hazi Park area to check for counterfeit and smuggled tobacco products. The team was also joined by officers from Health and Legal Metrology Department. NTCP DNO, Dr C Tetseo in a press release appreciated the initiative taken by Vishal Chauhan, IPS, DCP Zone-2 to make the police force more proactive towards tobacco control laws. Dr C Tetseo also made an appeal to all the stakeholders to extend their support to this campaign.
