SJC 7th annual theatre day ‘Reviving Naga Folk Tales’

Jakhama, April 2 (MExN): The 7th annual theatre day of the English Department, St Joseph College (SJC) (A), Jakhama was held under the theme ‘Reviving Naga Folk Tales’ at the College Indoor Stadium on April 2.

A press release stated that the BA 6th Semester section C won the competition for the drama titled ‘The origin of the Bird Hornbill’ followed by first runners MA 4th Semester and second runners up BA 4th Semester Section D. The best actor award went to Ayeluto Awomi of BA 6th Semester, section C and best actress went to Kecheni Kent of BA 2nd Semester, section C. Rev Fr Dr George Keduolhou Angami, Principal, SJC (A), Jakhama gave away the prizes to the winners.

Earlier, the welcome address and declaration of the theatre day was pronounced by James HK, HoD, Department of English.
