Jakhama, October 24 (MExN): The St Joseph’s College (Autonomous) Jakhama resolved to celebrate the 25 years of Alumni Association on November 18 with a formal function at the college’s Indoor Stadium.
The decision for the same was adopted at a joint meeting convened SJC Principal of Dr Fr George Keduolhou Angami with college management and ex-officials of alumni on October 21 where various agendas such as Alumni Meet-cum-Alumni Silver Jubilee celebration, AQAR, etc were discussed.
The meeting was attended by a good number of former alumni presidents including the first President Advocate Kezhokhoto Savi from the 1985 batch, the year college was established. The Alumni Association was established later in the year 1997.
As per a press release from the SJC, the college management would be taking care of all logical arrangement to host the Alumni Meet-cum-Silver Jubilee celebration.
During the formal function the present students of more than 4000 consisted of several departments including PG’s would felicitate the alumni members, it said.
The celebration would follow with friendly basketball match between the alumni teams and the present student team.
The house has also resolved to release the Jubilee Souvenir next year.
The President of S Joseph’s College (Autonomous) Jakhama Yanger Imchen has also convened another meeting on November 14 at Crescent International Hotel, and invited calling all the ex-officials of alumni to attend the said meeting without fail to discuss and work out the final preparation for the silver jubilee celebration, it added.
