SJU students of history department along with their assistant professors during the field trip to Guwahati.

DIMAPUR, APRIL 30 (MExN): The Department of History, St. Joseph University conducted a field trip on April 28 to Guwahati in order to fulfill the requirements of its PG II semester course. The places visited were Assam State Museum, Guwahati War Memorial,Gandhi Mandap, Kamakhya Temple, and Jagannath Temple.
A press release from the SJU department of history stated that the aim of the department was to encourage students to learn and share their life experiences in order to preserve traditions and spread knowledge. The students were required to perform research on a variety of aspects of their rich cultural heritage and societal changes.
For greater exposure, 65 students were divided into various groups. Assistant Professors in the Department of History at SJU namely Dr. Lanuchila Changkiri, Mhonlumi L. Tungoe, and Mr. Hokato Sumi oversaw its execution.
