Dimapur, October 27 (MExN): The Department of Zoology, St Joseph University (SJU), Dimapur organized a three-day entrepreneurship awareness camp at the University campus sponsored by Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India, Ahmedabad, Gujarat. 


The camp was inaugurated on October 23 with chief guest Ntsemo Ngullie, Chairman, Nagaland Bee Keeping and Honey Mission; Dr Amenla, CEO, Department of Fisheries and guest of honor, Velhosienuo Khro, District Sericulture Officer. 


Dr Robert Edwin Chester, Registrar, SJU advised the students and participants not to search for jobs but instead create opportunities. On the second day, resource persons were Dr Puhar Daimari, Assistant Professor of St. John College; Bokali A Chikhe and Patrick Letgong from Nagaland Bee keeping and honey bee mission. 


On the final day, Petekhrietuo Medom, Sericulture Field Assistant took up the first session on the topic ‘Silk Farming is the cultivation of silk worms to produce silk in Nagaland.’ Dr Hanumant Singh Rathore, Assistant Professor, Biotechnology of Nagaland University took up the next session on ‘Pharmaceutical from Animals.’ 


Fr Savariappan, PRO, SJU, Dimapur in a press release stated that a total of 140 participants attended the camp which concluded with remarks and vote of thanks by Dr R Nandakumar, HOD, Department of Zoology, SJU.
