Skill dev prog for youth inaugurated at AIDA

Dimapur, February 20 (MExN): Skill development programme for unemployed youth, Batch 32 was inaugurated at Don Bosco Tech AIDA centre on February 18.
Administrator of Dimapur Municipal Council, Albert Ezung graced the occasion as chief guest. Fr CT Vargeshe, Rector of Don Bosco Dimapur; Fr TT Joseph, Mission Procure, of Province of Dimapur & AIDA in-charge; 47 parents 54 trainees and Don Bosco tech staff took part in the programme.
Addressing the gathering, Ezung spoke on the importance of skilling and giving opportunity to the unemployed youth of Nagaland, and congratulated Don Bosco Tech AIDA for their work.
He encouraged the trainees to skill themselves to get an employment and also urged the trainees not to depend on government jobs as it was inadequate to provide job to the entire citizens.
“No job is big or small as long as we do it dutifully with sincerity. Whatever we do we should do it with dignity; unless we do that, society will consider government job as social prestige. So, we need to change our mindset and venture out in life without depending on government job,” Ezung encouraged the youth.
Father TT Joseph, Mission Procure of Province of Dimapur & AIDA in-charge said that “if we put God as the centre of our life, God will guide us in difficulties and problem.”
A press release from Towoka, Coordinator, Don Bosco Tech AIDA Centre informed that it provides skill training to unemployed youth in a number of domains across India in collaboration with corporates, central government, state governments and various sector skill councils for assessment and certification.
Meanwhile, the skill development programme of batch 32 began on January 20 with domains – Hospitality Food and Beverage Service Steward and Assistant Beauty Therapist.
