DIMAPUR, AUGUST 18 (MExN): The Department of Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship of Nagaland successfully concluded a skill development program for rural women at Phomching Town, Mon District. The initiative, which ran from August 5 to 17, provided training to 25 female participants under the guidance of experts from the department.
The closing ceremony was held on August 17 at the auditorium of Government High School, Phomching Town. Er. N Nyakshom Phom, Principal of Government ITI Mon, delivered a speech on behalf of the department. The program was chaired by Samuel LK, Vice President of Phomching Town Students’ Union, with an invocation prayer led by Hamkai, Associate Pastor (Youth) of Phomching Town Baptist Church.
During the ceremony, the trainees shared their experiences from the program and were awarded certificates and tool kits. The event concluded with a vote of thanks from L Samuel Konyak NCS, Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil) of Phomching RD Block, followed by a thanksgiving prayer by Nahwan, Associate Pastor (Women) of Phomching Town Baptist Church.
The Phomching Nyupuh Sheko Khong (PNSK) expressed gratitude to the Department of Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship for their efforts in supporting the women of Phomching. They also thanked K Konngam Konyak, MLA and Advisor for Art & Culture, Treasuries & Accounts, for his support, as well as the Phomching Town Baptist Church, Phomching Town Students’ Union, Government High School Phomching Town, and all well-wishers for their contributions to the success of the program.
