Wokha, April 2 (MExN): Skill development training on beekeeping was held at Mass Educational Welfare Society Hall, Wokha from March 26 to April 2. The programme, assisted by NABARD Regional Office Dimapur was implemented in association with Mass Educational Welfare Society, Wokha. It was inaugurated by S Amarjit, Managing DDM, NABARD March 26 as the chief guest.
The training programme included theoretical and practical training for six days including Apiary visitation where participants toured Renathung Apiary at Khumtsu Village on March 31.
Total of 34 candidates from different colonies of Wokha town and adjoining villages completed the training. The valediction function was held on April 2 at MEWS Hall with Lipok Ozukum Branch Manager Central Bank of India Wokha branch as the chief guest and Masheto Nandu BM NStCB Wokha as guest of honour.
Lanchibemo Tsopoe, Chairman, Mass Educational Welfare Society in a press release acknowledged officials and staff of NABARD RO Dimapur, LDM SBI Wokha, BM CBI, BM NStBC, MEWS Wokha and Supervisor (KBI) KVIB Wokha for organizing the training.
