Dimapur, October 5 (MExN): Tuensang District Administration, in partnership with AISECT Nagaland, inaugurated a one-month training course on ‘domestic electrical and tailoring’ for unemployed youth in Tuensang on October 4 at town hall, Tuensang.

A DIPR report informed that Extra Assistant Commissioner (P), Küdazo Swüro addressed the trainees at the inaugural. He emphasized the importance of acquiring skills and highlighted that skill-based employment opportunities have no gender specifications.

Swüro expressed concern over the high levels of unemployment in the country, attributing it to a lack of skills among the youth. He underlined that the training program’s primary goal is to empower the unemployed youth of Tuensang, creating self-employment opportunities and enabling them to earn a sustainable livelihood.

A total of 77 trainees have enrolled for the training.
