
Wokha, July 30 (MExN): Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) Wokha organized a Skill Training of Rural Youth in association with SAMETI Nagaland and MANAGE Hyderabad sponsored by Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers welfare GOI from July 18 to 23 and July 25 to 30 at KVK Wokha respectively on the topic Management practices of piggery and Management practices and production of poultry.
ATMA Wokha Deputy Project Director T.Subenthung Yanthan in a press release said that Dr. Santosh kumar Baishya Senior scientist and Head KVK, Dr. Moaakum ACTO and Dr. Zachamo Tungoe SRF were the resource where various topics ranging from breeding management, AI, Pig and poultry housing, feed management, disease management, vaccination hygienic meat production etc were covered in theory and practical demonstrations from the farm.
The training was imparted with an aimed for skill based training to rural youth on agri based vocational areas in agriculture and allied areas to promote self employment and for creation of skilled manpower. The programme was guided and course directed by the two DPD’s Yanglen Y Jami and T.Subenthung Yanthan.
All together 30 youths of age 18 to 35 years hailing from Pangti, Longsachung and Yanthamo villages and wokha town were trained and certificates were given away.
