Skill training for unemployed youth underway

Dimapur, October 29 (MExN): The inauguration of the 19th batch of the skill training of unemployed youth of Nagaland at Don Bosco Tech AIDA centre was graced by Mezhulhoulie, Assistant Professor Dimapur Government College.  

Don Bosco Tech AIDA Centre Coordinator, Regina Pamma Karai in a press release informed that batch 19 of skill training for unemployed youth of Nagaland started on October 3 with 75 trainees from 15 different tribes of Northeast. Training is imparted in domains hospitality-food and beverages, hospitality- hair dressing and hospitality- beauty and wellness.  

He encouraged the newly enrolled trainees to do the right thing and achieve what you desire in life. “Everyone experience failure in life. Accept failures, but learn from them and improve yourself. This is the time to change, to keep awake, to work harder and carry on with positive spirit,” he added.  

Father CT Varghese said that this training is to help you become independent persons; to skill you and provide you a livelihood.  

Amos Ekka, State coordinator, sharing on the work of Don Bosco Tech in India said that the Salesian province of Dimapur comprising the states of Assam (Upper), Nagaland, Manipur and Arunachal Pradesh has a target to train 35000 youth from rural areas by 2022. Don Bosco Tech in Dimapur region has trained over 8000 youth and placed over 7000 of them in companies of national or international category. Don Bosco Tech AIDA centre alone has trained 1281and placed 1221 in last 5 years, he informed.  

Toli Nekha welcomed the gathering and Peter Lakra shared testimony on behalf of trainees. The audiences were enthralled by Ao and Chakhesang folk dances, Sangtam and Angami folk songs performed by trainees. Tiasola gave the vote of thanks.
