Kattankulathur, October 13 (MExN): Dr. T. G. Sitharam, Chairman of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), addressed over 8,438 graduates during the 20th Convocation of SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST). Emphasizing the importance of skills and knowledge in today’s dynamic job market, Dr. Sitharam remarked, “Skills and knowledge are essential for sustaining a career in today’s rapidly changing job market.”

During his address to a large audience of students and parents, he noted that this moment marks the culmination of years of hard work and perseverance. He urged graduates to remain vigilant about digital transformations within their respective fields, stating, “Regardless of your field of study, staying updated on digital transformations is crucial for remaining relevant in the job market.”

Dr. Sitharam further highlighted the significance of adaptive learning as proposed in the New Education Policy (NEP). “While degrees are important, the skills you acquire during your education will be your foundation in this disruptive world,” he added.
