SKK kicks off mission ‘Doing Right’

Morung Express News Dimapur | February 13   The apex Sumi students’ organization, Sumi Kiphimi Kuqhakulu (SKK) is embarking on a mammoth mission of cleansing the society of malaise and wrong practices within Sumi inhabited areas.  

With the motto, “Doing Right,” the SKK led by its President, Ninoto Awomi kicked off its mission during a  press conference in Dimapur on Saturday.   Under its mission, the SKK outlined four agendas which it would carry on by chalking out strategies by inviting stakeholders, think-tank, legislators, bureaucrats and other strata of the society.   The first agenda included ban on proxy teachers in all Sumi inhabited areas while the second issue was to work towards clean and sincere execution of public offices, institutions etc. The students’ body has also affirmed itself to see that all contract works under Sumi inhabited areas were carried out under right specifications and implemented accordingly.   Similar to NBCC’s Clean Election Campaign, the fourth agenda of SKK is to work towards the conduct of clean elections in all Sumi inhabited areas.   With these missions in mind, the SKK has called upon all stakeholders ranging from legislators and bureaucrats to the communitized rural level, civil societies, educational institutions, contractors, government employees in Sumi inhabited areas, national workers, churches and every individual to extend their cooperation towards its mission of “Doing Right.”
