DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 10 (MExN): The All Sumi Students' Union (SKK) today drew attention to what it said were irregularities of government employees in office(s) and educational institutions that remains either closed or are non-functional in Zunheboto district.
A press note from the SKK President, Atokiho Sumi and General Secretary, Hutoshe Kits informed that this is causing immense hardship and inconvenience to the public, especially the students' communities.
“Most of the officers and staff remain idle in their comfort zones and either direct the public to come to their private residence in place of respective places or wait till their arrival to get their needs done, which not only creates inconvenience but also levies an additional burden such as expenditures, time etc. Sometimes the unluckiest are even led to meet with accidents,” it stated.
In a letter to the Deputy Commissioner of Zunheboto, the SKK sought that “tangible and corrective steps” be taken to ensure all concerned officers regularly attend their duties diligently.
It asked the DC to initiate necessary action within 15 days, failing which, it cautioned that the union would take its own course of action.
