SKK supports NSF ultimatum on NPSC scam

Dimapur, July 20 (MExN): Making a strong contention against the NPSC, the All Sumi Students’ Union (SKK) today said that functioning of the sole recruiting body in the state, the Nagaland Public Service Commission, which ought to be completely free from irregularities and corruption, “unfortunately appears to be immersed in the pool of corruption every now and then which requires immediate revamp”.

The SKK has declared its support to the “three charter demand” made by the Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) to the state government in connection with the “swapping of NPSC answer script”. SKK general secretary Mughato K Swu, and its president, Abeto L Shohe, in a press release stated that the move initiated by the Federation was in the interest of the student community in particular and the Naga people in general in order to ensure that the vast pool of competent Naga youngsters do not become victims of corruption.

The SKK was of the opinion that the investigating agency probing into the matter be allowed to proceed uninterrupted from any angle so that facts and evidences are clearly substantiated, and thereby ensure related offenders be booked and penalised in accordance with the relevant provision of the law at the earliest.

Basing on the “three charter demand”, the student’s union added, “If compelled to resort to opt democratic weapon in order to grill out justice, right thinking Nagas in general are expected to cooperate with the NSF no matter whatever be the range of inconvenience because the ultimate course of action undertaken by the Federation is for the noble cause of justice.”

Meanwhile, the SKK also announced its condemnation over the harassment meted out to the NSF volunteers on July 10.
