All Sümi Students’ Union (SKK) concluded its 1st phase of educational tour from May 28.

Dimapur, June 3 (MExN): The All Sümi Students’ Union (SKK) has concluded its 1st phase of educational tour which begins from May 28. The tour was initiated to examine and asses the overall growth and development of the government institutions within the Sumi inhabited areas.
During its first tour, the Union visited Zunheboto Government College, Kheloshe Polytechnic Atoizu and Nagaland University Lumami.
The SKK in a press release stated that the Union had an extensive discussion and constructive interaction with the Students, faculties and the head of all the three institutions, where several issues and grievances were highlighted. Some of the major problems identified were lack of proper infrastructure and facilities, insufficient classrooms, shortage of teachers etc.
The upgradation of Kheloshe Polytechnic to full-fledged Engineering Degree College is of paramount importance and for which the union will be imploring upon the concern Authority to address and streamline the upgradation without delay, SKK noted.
Furthermore, the Union had assured that all these matters and issues shall be taken up with utmost priority.
