Slammers won by 17 runs here at the Nagaland Cricket Stadium, Sovima, Dimapur, as Brotherhood Kohima ran out of overs despite a flying start in the run chase. Electing to bat, Slammers riding on Hokaito Zhimomi’s 42-ball 45 and M. Ali’s run-a-ball 29 had put up a modest score of 154 runs losing 8 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Abhinav Dixit with 4/29 was the pick of the Brotherhood bowlers while Akash Kumar also returned with decent figures of 2/23 from the four overs. In the run chase, the Kohima-side were off to a flyer as Amit Chopra scored a scintillating 36-ball 69 runs and was ably assisted by Abhinav Dixit who scored 43 runs from just 34 balls. However, Tiwari (2/9 from 4 overs) tightened things up for Super Slammers as they restricted Brotherhood to 137/5 in the 20 overs. Jogesh Bhumij who picked 2 wickets while giving away 23 runs was awarded the man of the match.
