SLET/SET 2026 conducted at NU Medziphema campus

Officials during the conduct of the State Level Eligibility Test (SLET/SET) 2026 at the NU Medziphema campus.

Medziphema, March 17 (MExN): The State Level Eligibility Test (SLET/SET) 2026 was conducted at Nagaland University’s School of Agricultural Sciences (SAS), Medziphema Campus, which served as the Nagaland centre, on March 16.

A press release informed that a total of 337 candidates had registered for the examination across 23 subjects, of which 256 appeared, recording a turnout of 76%.

The examination was held in two sessions, with Paper I covering general aptitude and Paper II focusing on subject-specific papers.

SLET observer Prof Ratul Mohanta from Gauhati University, appointed by the SLET Commission, Assam, stated, “I am greatly pleased with the flawless conduct of the exam at the Nagaland centre.”

Vice-Chancellor of Nagaland University, Prof JK Patnaik, congratulated the team involved in the conduct of the examination. “I would like to place on record my deep appreciation for the commitment shown by the faculty members, scientists, and the non-teaching staff of the SAS Campus, who extended their full cooperation in ensuring the successful conduct of the examination. It is particularly commendable that all concerned staff members discharged their responsibilities diligently even on a holiday. Nagaland University remains committed to maintaining the highest standards in conducting national and state-level examinations, and the successful organisation of the SLET/SET examination at the SAS Campus reflects the collective dedication and teamwork of the university community,” he stated.

Prof KK Jha, SLET Coordinator at Nagaland University and Officer-in-Charge for the Nagaland centre, commended the Vice-Chancellor for launching SLET in Nagaland in 2024.

“This initiative has opened vital opportunities for young Naga postgraduates to qualify for SET within the state, paving the way for prosperous careers in higher education and human resource development in Nagaland and the Northeast,” Prof Jha said.

He also expressed gratitude to the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Dean, and academic and administrative officials of the SAS campus for their support in organising the examination.
