
Dimapur, March 27 (MExN): All Nagaland Small Tea Growers Association (ANSTGA) held its annual general body meeting on March 18 at its head office in Dimapur. A press release from the association press secretary Er Inavito Yepthomi informed that President D. Hukiye Kibami highlighted the annual report.
One of the highlights was the induction of Arha Phesao, Tonika Kiba and Er.lnavito Yepthomi as general body members of the Confederation of Indian Small Tea Grower's Association (CISTA) and D Hukiye Kibami as Executive Committee Member, CISTA during the annual general body meeting held from February 22-23 at Tea Auction Centre, Jalpaiguri, West Bengal.
During the meeting on March 18, Shanni Angh, Advisor, ANSTGA stressed on the need to manufacture green tea and also encouraged the small tea growers of Naga¬land to give importance and prefer manufacturing green tea as it has a rapid growing market besides its health benefits.
Following members were inducted to various post of the association in the meeting - Arha Phesao as Vice President, Zhekheto Chishi and Tonika Kibami as Secretary and S.K James, Vice President, ANSTGA was elevated to Senior Vice President. The house also resolved to seek help to organize a seminar in the month of May to the Tea Board of India through the help of Bijoy Chakraborty, President, CISTA.
The ANSTGA office has informed all the registered members to pay their annual membership fee of Rs.100/- to their respective district unit president/ secretary and submit the same before April 15.
