Sümi Theological Association observes 25th anniversary

DIMAPUR, MAY 16 (MExN): Sümi Theological Association, a theological body under SBAK Aizuto observed 25th anniversary from May 10-12. To commemorate the event, a jubilee plaque was erected at Aizuto Mission Centre by Rev Dr Daniel Chishi, Executive Secretary SBAK, in the presence of Rev Vitoshe K. Aye, first president STA and Kheshiho Chishi, present STA president. 

The jubilee event was hosted by Sapotimi Baptist Church and it was attended by 512 delegates compromising of Theologians, church leaders and theological students under SBAK. 

During the jubilee celebration, the speakers were, Rev Dr Daniel Chishi executive secretary, Dr Shitovi Sumi, principal ATC,  Ilika Zhimo education secretary, Rev Ghokuto Chishi, pastor, Lumithsami Baptist Church. To commemorate the jubilant occasion, a souvenir consisting of STA historical background importantly its key stance on theological issues were published by Rev Vitoshe Aye.

Dr I. Pihoto Khala, President, SBAK executive council brought greetings and encourage the congregation to stand firm in their faith and continue to extend God’s kingdom on earth while Niholi Sema, deputy commissioner of  taxes, Dimapur graced the occasion and encouraged the delegates to continue their aspirations. 

In the jubilee program, Anderson Theological College Aizuto presented a jubilee choral while youths of Urban Mission Church Dimapur led the worship session. The new Sumi Theological Association team would be now led by Vihokhu Jimo as its president and Lujeka Assumi as its general secretary along with other officials.
