Zunheboto, May 25 (MExN): The Sümi Hoho organised a felicitation programme for the newly elected office bearers of the Sümi Totimi Hoho (STH) at Sümi Hoho Ki in Zunheboto on May 25. The event was graced by the presence of officials from the Sümi Hoho, Sümi Kükami Hoho, Sümi Kiphimi Küqhakulu, Sümi Youth Organisation, and elders of the community.
In his address, Sümi Hoho President, I Nikheto Jimomi encouraged the STH new team to continue the commendable work of their predecessors, with a special emphasis on the upliftment of women in the society. He emphasised the importance of their role in driving positive change and development within the community.
STH President, Vitoli Rochill expressed her gratitude for the support and pledged to collaborate closely with the Sümi Hoho and its affiliated organisations. She assured her commitment to work for the welfare and advancement of the Sümi society, particularly focusing on women's empowerment.
Dr Vihuto Asumi, General Secretary, Sümi Hoho in a press release said that the programme was chaired by Sümi Hoho Vice President, Hokishe Kiba. A special song was presented by Yetokali Ruth Rochill, adding a musical note to the occasion. Rev Honito Chophi led a prayer for the new team, seeking divine wisdom and knowledge for their leadership.
