Dimapur, October 6 (MExN): Survival Nagaland (SN) today extended support to the Co-ordination Committee on Fuel Adulteration demand for CBI probe into the fuel adulteration racket in Dimapur. Appreciating the various civil societies for their ceaseless efforts in trying to bring a positive change in the society, SN in a press note also appealed the the Government of Nagaland to take the issue “very seriously” and hand over the investigation to the Central Bureau of Investigation.
By doing so, lakhs of people cheated of many crores by the adulteration kingpins could receive justice, it added. “The laid back attitude and ignorance of the public has slowly but effectively transformed into a quest to be well-informed and a yearning for the Right and Just to be executed,” SN further maintained adding that, the public can no longer bear the burden of paying “the price for the luxuries of the corrupted businessmen and government officials.”
SN also appealed to individual and Village Councils, Sector Unions, NGOs, Civil Societies etc to support the cause saying it might be the harbinger to a corrupt-free society. “The government should no longer be a government of the people, by the people for the corrupt elite,” added SN.
