SNSPA health camps held across Mon

Mon, September 28 (MExN): The District Health Society, Mon, conducted a series of SwasthNari, SashaktParivaarAbhiyaan (SNSPA) health camps on September 27 across multiple health facilities, including Changlang SC, Tuimei SC, Leangnyu SC, Angjangyang SC, Tang PHC, and Phomching PHC.

At Angjangyang SC, 53 beneficiaries were recorded, comprising 11 screened for non-communicable diseases (NCDs), 7 antenatal check-ups (ANC), 20 immunizations, and 15 malaria screenings. Counselling sessions on menstrual hygiene and adolescent health were also conducted.

Tang PHC saw participation from 112 individuals, including 64 children immunized, 6 ANC check-ups, and 17 malaria screenings. In addition to these services, counselling sessions on menstrual hygiene, family planning, and immunization were provided, and IEC leaflets in the local dialect were distributed to enhance community awareness.

Phomching PHC registered 83 beneficiaries, with 53 NCD screenings, 5 pediatric consultations, and 22 general health check-ups.
Changlang SC, in collaboration with the NVBDCP team, conducted 24 NCD screenings, 19 vaccinations, and 18 malaria screenings.

Leangnyu SC reported 22 NCD screenings and 7 vaccinations, alongside informative health talks.

The SNSPA campaign is being implemented across all health units in the district through two types of camps. Specialist Health Camps provide access to expert services from gynecologists, pediatricians, physicians, dentists, and eye specialists. Regular Health Camps, conducted by staff of respective health units, offer enhanced services such as counselling, focused group discussions, disease screenings, immunization drives, and antenatal check-ups.
