Dimapur, July 22 (MExN): A week long social audit under MGNREGA works was successfully concluded at Khekiho Village under RD Block, Dhansiripar Dimapur on July 21.
Initiated by the Society for Training & Research on Rural Development, the final day of social audit was well attended by various people such as Director of Social Audit, Zacheve Thele, Dr. Kedise, SDO Civil Dhansiripar & D.P.O-DRDA Dimapur, along with Khekiho Village Job Card Holders, Village Members, VCC, VDB Board and Block Officials headed by BDO, Er A. Atu Imsong.
A press release informed that starting from July 15 to 21, the social auditors comprising of 5 district resource persons and 8 village resource persons from Sovima Village conducted a door-to-door audit verifying all relevant records and documents in a transparent manner including physical verifications of all schemes in the village carried out during the previous years.
All the observations and concluding reports were presented during the final day of audit for public scrutiny which was unanimously accepted by the General Public of Khekiho Village.
The Village Council Chairman expressed gratitude to the concerned department and Sovima VRPS for their hard and unbiased work and to the general public for their co-operation during the week-long audit period.
