Kohima, June 30 (MExN): The Department of Soil & Water Conservation organized a farewell programme for the outgoing Director, MM Solo on June 30 at the Directorate’s Conference Hall.
T. Nungsang Ao, Commissioner & Secretary who was also present acknowledged his sincerity and dedication for the upliftment of the department. He also praised him for reviving with better infrastructures for the trainees at State Soil & Water Conservation Training and Research Institute, Sechu Zubza. Incoming Director, Peter K. Rengma attributed MM Solo as a humble, hardworking, sincere and dedicated Officer both in the office as well as in the field and wished him a happy retired life.
Meanwhile, MM Solo thanked God for enabling him to complete his service in good health. He thanked his family and office staff for being supportive during his tenure in different capacities in the department. He also shared his personal experiences working with the departmental officials and ended his speech by saying that one must consider themselves indispensable to the department and that everyone has their own ability to play a major role for the betterment of the department.
A press release stated that the programme was chaired by Imkongneken Ao, incoming Additional Director; SK Hekshe spoke on behalf of Outpost Officers and Staffs; Merithung presented a special number and vote of thanks by Hevikhe Sema, incoming Project Director.
