Kohima, April 2 (MExN): The Department of Soil & Water Conservation organized a farewell programme in honor of SN Singh, Director and Temjenlemba, Cartographist at the directorate’s conference hall here. Both the outgoing officers rendered 35 years and a few days of service to the department.
District Soil Conservation Officer of Kiphire, Chumei Yanlem congratulated both the officers for the successful completion of their service and also expressed gratitude for their steady faithfulness in executing the assigned responsibilities, stated a press release received here.
The outgoing Director, SN Singh while maintaining that it was a sad day for him thanked the officers and staff of the department for their cooperation and concern. He also advised that one should be sincere in carrying out their responsibilities.
Temjenlemba meanwhile thanked his colleagues and staff for their moral support, prayer and counsel and for having a positive impact on their family life.
The incoming Head of Department, Viliehu Nguzhü showered praises on both the officers for their commitment, inspiration and efficiency in delivering public service to the best of their ability. He also stated he believed in the potential of the officers and staff and that a good team work and coordination can bring the best of the solution to any of the problem faced.
The programme was presided by K Zhekheto Awomi, Project Director and vote of thanks was delivered by Kevingutso Rutsa, Joint Director.
