Kohima, March 2 (MExN): Students from Guru Nanak Khalsa College of Arts, Science & Commerce, Mumbai University, Mumbai participated in the Solidarity Students’ Exchange Programme with the Baptist College, Kohima from February 22-28.
The Solidarity Students Exchange Program was started in 2017 and is an initiative of the Indian National Fellowship Centre (INFC), Mumbai and Dr. K & T Keditsu Foundation, Kohima to organize an annual week sponsored student exchange program between female students of colleges in Nagaland with colleges in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka or Madhya Pradesh, stated a release from the foundation. Dr. K & T Keditsu Foundation is a charitable trust in Nagaland.
This year, eight students along with a chaperone interacted with students of Baptist College Kohima and Zubza campus, and participated in cultural exchange activities. They also visited several villages in Kohima and interacted with local people and learned.
They also attended interactive sessions on ‘Naga culture today’ by Theja Meru (CEO Dreamcorp) at the Heritage, ‘Naga culinary traditions’ with Changsu (Naga Chef) at Chingtsuong Restaurant, and ‘An Evening of Conversations with Naga Women Professionals’: Sesino Yhoshu, Independent filmmaker/producer; Shiroi Lily Shaiza, Financial consultant; Ketholeno Kense Vihienuo, Model/ Entrepreneur; Khyochano Ngully, Musician/ Mentor; and Theyiesinuo Keditsu, Writer/ Educator.
The students also witnessed Sekrenyi festival celebrations at Touphema village. The week-long programme concluded with a valedictory function at the Eastgate hotel, Kohima.
