SoLLoM: 1st Nagaland Music Industry confluence begins

The rain didn't dampen the spirits of the Nagaland Music Industry as the two day confluence on Sounds, Lights, Logistics & Media (SoLLoM) began today in an environment of live performances and stalls buzzing with activity.
In his inaugural speech, Advisor to Task Force for Music & Arts (TaFMA), Theja Meru expressed happiness that something like this could be launched today while making mention of PALM expo, India’s premier trade expo for live events, music production, lighting, staging and ProAV industry.
Nagaland, he said, will become a centre for all things music and musical while stating that the chief minister of Nagaland is all out to push this industry forward. Towards this end, he urged upon the music industry in Nagaland to put their ideas together and see where the government can work together. He also impressed upon that Nagaland can be the hub of music not just in North East but the whole of South East Asia and stressed on creating strong ecosystem in order to build economy. He further congratulated Life Pro, on whose initiative SoLLoM is being organised.
October 27 is World Day
for Audiovisual Heritage
Thejakelie Zuyie, the person behind Life Pro told The Morung Express that SoLLoM is being organized to also commemorate World Day for Audiovisual Heritage which falls on October 27 every year. This confluence is possibly the first of its kind in the entire North East Region.
He further enlightened that more than 20 local companies in sound, lighting and acoustic paneling and installation are part of the event wherein they are running stalls of their own as a means to promote their own brands, create network and opportunities as well as share the facilities and services they provide and also sell products.
Kevitsu Doze of Synergy Group Enterprise felt that “we should have more of this kind of event not only for the music industry but even for Agri and allied sectors.” Impressing upon the importance of having this kind of interaction among artists, producers, and the industry as a whole, he said that every sector should have something like this.
Companies that are part of the event include Music Planet, Decibel, Highland Dawn Media, Unitex Power Line, Headlight, Out Loud, Kadence Express, Crescendo, Lineage, Symphony, Libüh Co, Beat Devices, Concord Linx, Tech Build, Synergy Group Enterprise and Chromatic Clef.
