A Sopen Memorial Mens' Volley C’ship

DIMAPUR, MARCH 14 (MExN): The 3rd A Sopen Memorial Mens' Open Volleyball Championship Trophy organised by Deuyong Club started on March 12 at Tobu Village with Rosemary, former President Eastern Nagaland Women Organisation Dimapur Unit as special guest.

The special guest in her speech thanked the club for inviting her to grace the opening ceremony and expressd her gratitude towards the DYC for organising such a major tournament in Tobu. She encouraged players coming from far and near to build a better relationship through sports.

A short programme was chaired by John Yamba. Pastor NTVBF pronounced invocation and welcome address was delivered by Davidson, president DYC. Bemang Presented special song and Oath taking was initiated by Sports secy.

All together 12 teams from Tuensang, Longleng, Mon and Noklak district have been registered in the 3rd edition of the championship.
