
Chümoukedima, November 21 (MExN): The Sovima Sports Club (SSC) is set to organise the first ‘’Hornbill Sports Festival 2023” at the Regional Centre for Sporting Excellence (RCSE), Chümoukedima from December 3-6, celebrating to “Hornbill Festival.”
It will feature competitions in three disciplines - Futsal, Badminton and Table Tennis.
Each discipline is further categorised into Junior Boys and Girls below 15 years (U-9/ U-11/ U-13/ U-15).
The winners will be awarded with Trophy, citations along with total prize money of Rs 2 lakh, informed a press release from the SSC.
In this connection, the Club has informed interested applicants to register for the event on or November 30 by submitting their details along with a passport size photo and a copy of Aadhaar Card during office hours at the Futsal Centre, RCSE.
As per the SSC, the event is aimed at promoting sports and providing a potential platform to the young budding talents.
Besides giving an opportunity to excel in various sporting disciplines at state-of-the- art facility of the RCSE, the sports festival will strive to create awareness about the positive aspects of sports, it said.
Apart from sporting events, the festival will also feature series of events such as, talent shows and other mini competitions and camps for children.
Spaces will also be given to entrepreneurs for marketing their products including food stalls with the aim of generating employment opportunity and income generation, the SVC added.
