Special children need to be empowered: Yitachu

Minister for School Education & SCERT Yitachu today said the society can only grow when we take care of the special children and the neglected section of the people and also having concern for each and every individual.  

He said while addressing the parents’ day of Jo Foundation, an inclusive school located at Agri Colony here. He said that special children need to be empowered and lauded JO Foundation for choosing the right approach to encourage and propagate the development, productivity and dignity of children at large with special needs, particularly with holistic approach based on the teachings of Jesus Christ. Yitachu continued that that special children need to be taken care of and given quality education. 

He said the first and foremost duty of the parents is the responsibility to bring up children in the proper streamline of education. Yitachu said that our society will grow only when we take care and give concern to the children.  

Yitachu encouraged the parents and said that as responsible men and women we need to change our thinking and the right attitude to achieve our dreams. 

“Parents should be courageous and bring up the children in proper education system, he said adding that it is the parent bound duty to teach children to be determined, work hard and be sincere in their studies and that few things will make a lot of differences in the children’s life.  

“You need to be strong, resolute and support your child,” he told the parents. “Life cannot be defeated. We have to struggle and win,” he said. He also shared his recent trip to China, where he found the people there are truthful, hard working and determine to achieve in life and remain to the system of truthfulness. This, he said prevail clean environment, clean heart and clean attitude. Yitachu also assured the Jo Foundation authority to help though grant in aid to the school.  

He also launched the Jo Foundation website www.jofoundation.com which was designed by Ramietech Solution. Earlier, Jo Foundation school chairman Daniel Thong Seb said the school was opened in 2009 with enrolment of 110 students upto class IV where 15 are differently abled. 

The school aims to upgrade one class every year and its objective is to give, encourage and propagate development and to bring dignity into their daily activities. 

Seb said the school has come out to help the children to grow physically, educationally and allowing them in getting involved in the community.
