Special train brings 290 Naga returnees from Bangalore 

Dimapur, July 9 (MExN): A special train from Bangalore reached Dimapur Railway Station around 8:20 am on July 9. The train brought 290 Naga returnees including 137 from Dimapur and Peren district, Mon-37, Tuensang-19, Longleng-17, Kiphire-18, Phek-4, Zunheboto-24, Mokokchung-4, Wokha-16 and Kohima-14.


A DIPR reports stated that Team Dimapur led by Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur, Anoop Kinchi IAS received the returnees. 


On arrival, the Dimapur and Peren district returnees were taken to Agri Expo for necessary protocols before sending them to the government quarantine centers.


Returnees from the other districts underwent thermal screening at the medical counter at the Railway Station in Dimapur. They were provided with food packets and later, transported to their respective districts by NST buses accompanied by their Liaison Officer.


It may be mentioned that 49 returnees from Manipur (Senapati district) also came from the same train. Team Dimapur provided food packets and water to the returnees who were transported by buses arranged by Manipur Government.
