Dimapur, November 5 (MExN): In a case of rash driving, a speeding ‘Maruti gypsy’ rammed into 5 stationary auto rickshaws parked at the side of the road at Chumukedima today in the afternoon. Luckily nobody was injured in the incident. According to the traffic police the ‘Maruti gypsy’ (AR 01 A 4199), after the collision hit a tree but the driver still managed to control the vehicle and sped off towards Patkai side of the highway. It didn’t go far however, as police on patrol nearby, alongwith the peeved auto rickshaw drivers caught up with it near the main entrance to the NAPTC. Later, it was learn that the aggrieved parties reached an understanding to settle the matter. The damage caused to the rickshaws were not that bad, it was learnt.
