SPFDD decries ‘provocative’ activities

Dimapur, April 1 (MExN): The Sangtam People’s Forum Dimapur District (SPFDD) has vehemently condemned the “unprecedented and provocative activities by some vested interested persons,” who after taking the name of certain Naga Political Groups (NPGs), allegedly came to Sangtamtilla Village, “with intension to forcefully occupy some portion of land” within the jurisdiction of the village.

In this connection, the Forum in press note issued by its President L Bitong and General Secretary V Avise Anar asked the concerned individual to “abstain from any illegal activities in order to avoid any further confrontation.”

The village was physically established in the year 1951 and duly recognise by the government in 1953 which was prior to statehood and had been in existence since then without any dispute, it added.
