Dimapur, June 5 (MExN): Sr. Advisor, Planning Commission, Government of India, S.N. Mohanty came on a two day visit to Nagaland to inspect the works and projects of various Schemes and Programmes under different Departments.
A press note issued by K. Neibou Sekhose, Asst. Director (Publicity) Rural Development stated that upon his arrival on June 3, 2011 at Dimapur, S.N. Mohanty, along with Officers from RD, Horticulture and Planning & Coordination Department, visited and inspected the Rural Water Supply Project at Medziphema, Horticulture Project at Molvum and Floriculture Project at Kohima Road.
On June 4, the Official along with RD, Horticulture and Land Resources Departments visited Khonoma Village for inspection of MGNREGA Projects- Agri-Link Road and Village Circular Road, IAY Projects and SGSY Self Help Groups. He also interacted with the VDB members and village council and the different committees. In the afternoon, he was accompanied by the Commissioner& Secretary, RD, Director RD, Officers of Social Welfare, R&B, Horticulture, PHE and RD to inspect the PMGSY Road and Anganwadi Centre at Mima Village. He also visited the World War II Museum at Kisama. The team then inspected the different Floriculture Projects in Kohima.
A session of interaction with Officers and representatives of all the concerned Departments (RD, Horticulture, Social Welfare, Land Resources, PHE, Planning& Coordination and R&B) is slated to be held at Hotel Japfü from 7:00 pm. onwards. On June 5, he will visit the War cemetery and Museum before heading to Dimapur for departure to Delhi.
