Dimapur, June 30, (MExN): The Satakha Range Students’ Union (SRSU) today fervently urged the Commissioner and Secretary, School Education, Nagaland to look into the shortages of subject teachers for Education, English and environmental science in lone Government Higher Secondary School at Satakha.
The School has been functioning without the aforementioned teachers since it’s upgradation for which the union has earnestly requested personal intervention from the Commissioner and Secretary on May 2005 but so far there is not positive response, the SRSU said in a open letter.
The SRSU’s letter released here to the media through its President Khetoi Jimo and General Secretary, Kenneth H the union might compelled to take the “matter in our hands in the form of democratic processions and agitation” if the concern authority does not provide the required subject teachers.
It further said Satakha, being one of the oldest and largest sub-division under Zunheboto district, the upgradation of its Higher Secondary had brought great relief for students and parents at Satakha and surrounding villages but neglect by the department have victimized the student as scapegoat.
In this context, it appealed the Commissioner and Secretary to take the matter seriously and solve the matter at the earliest.
