
Zunheboto, November 30 (MExN): The Suruhuto Range Student Union (SRSU) under its mission ‘Suruhuto tokukujo iqu kitheni’ (To revitalise Suruhuto area) held a consultative culmination meeting (for the year 2020) with the chairman, secretaries and representatives of different villages from Suruhuto area residing in Zunheboto town at SKK Conference Hall Zunheboto on November 28.
Speaking on the occasion, Ghushepu Awomi, President, SRSU made an earnest appeal to the people of Suruhuto area residing in Zunheboto town to enthusiastically contribute in uplifting their native village for the betterment of Suruhuto area and for the betterment of the future generation.
According to a DIPR report, at the meeting various topics were thoroughly deliberated including the importance of younger generation to give outmost priority towards Suruhuto area and the encouragement to the urban dwellers from Suruhuto area to transfer votes and census to their native villages and inclusions of names in the electoral for the person above the age of 18 years.
The union had earlier in the first and last quarter of this year held the same consultative meeting with the Suruhuto area people from both urban and local areas i.e. with communities chairman Dimapur based on 29th February 2020 at tourist lodge, Dimapur, meeting with village chiefs, village council chairman and VDB secretaries on March 14 at SRSU office and officials of the Suruhuto Tokukujo Kuqhakulu Kohima (STKK) on October 27 at Kohima and various meetings with like-minded people on different occasions.
Earlier the meeting was chaired by Ghushepu Awomi, President SRSU and recorded by Hika S Chishi, General Secretary SRSU, Alokali Achumi, Cultural secretary SRSU invoked God's blessings and Zhenito Awomi, Aichisaghemi community chairman Zunheboto pronounced the benediction and ended the meeting.
