Mokokchung, November 11 (DIPR): Under the initiative of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), Girls Residential Hostel was formally inaugurated at Arkong Ward, Mokokchung Town by Deputy Commissioner and Chairman, District Mission Authority, SSA, Sushil Kumar Patel on November 11. Patel said that government has given all out efforts to uplift the educational system in the country; therefore, the main objective of the students should be to perform well thereby showing certain outcome to the government. Encouraging the students, the DC said that being in the hostel is an opportunity to inculcate discipline among themselves, for one must know how to behave with people besides getting good marks. DEO & Coordinator, District Mission Authority, SSA, I. Satemmenla delivered the welcome speech while special number was presented by the hostellers. Assistant District Coordinator, District Mission Authority, SSA, I. Chuba proposed the vote of thanks. The hostellers were selected from among the economically and socially deprived sections of people. At present, there are 24 girls from four Middle Schools in Mokokchung Town in the hostel.
