Dimapur, April 15 (MExN): Amid reports on social media of alleged construction work being undertaken at a disputed area by the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), or the Armed Border Force, the Wokha Deputy Commissioner Dr. Manazir Jeelani along with SP Wokha and Border Magistrate visited the spot at Chandalashung B Village under Ralan sub-division on April 14.
As per the directives of the DC Wokha, the ad-hoc Commandant of SSB agreed to stop the construction activities immediately till the matter is resolved at the highest level, DIPR reported.
The DC also held a meeting with the Commandants of CRPF and SSB at BM Ralan’s office where he impressed upon them to work in a neutral and impartial manner while executing their duties as neutral forces, the report added.
Another meeting was held by the DC with representatives of Ralan Area Lotha Hoho and the village councils of adjoining villages under Ralan sub-division.
