Dimapur, January 21 (MExN): As part of training, 48 Cadets of class XI accompanied by Principal and two staff of Sainik School Punglwa visited TAC, Air Force at Rangapahar. It was a day visit under school arrangements on January 21.
The trip was conducted in order to instill in the minds of cadets to join the Armed Forces. An impressive and heart awakening documentary on NDA was screened for the cadets, wherein they were all inspired. The cadets also had an interactive session with Gp Capt Sateesh Nawathe, TAC Commander, Wg Cdr Paul Devis and Wg Cdr T Kiba where they were motivated to join the Armed Forces. The cadets also visited Army Aviation Flt and other places at the military station and had a closer look to military hardware. The trip ended with a visit to war memorial and cadets paid tribute to brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the cause of the nation.
Gp Capt Sanjay Gaekwad, Principal, in his address to the cadets on return to school stated that such tours and visits widen up the thinking horizon of the cadets and allow them to have unique experience that remain in their memories all through their lives. He expressed his gratitude to Commander, TAC for providing an opportunity to the cadets to have a glimpse of Air Force.
