Dimapur, October 27 (MExN): Hollotoli School, Dimapur organised the 3rd Hollotoli Invitational Debate Competition on October 27. Altogether ten schools including the host school battled on the topic ‘Vocational education is more empowering than a college degree.’
A press release issued by the Department of English, Hollotoli School, Dimapur stated that after an interesting and fierce explosion of opinions Cadet Dinglo Kodak and Cadet Kohang Guing of Sainik School, Punglwa (SSP) won the 1st position. Tongtien Longchar and Avigail N Mozhui of Delhi Public School, Dimapur bagged the 2nd position and Tolinoka A Zhimo and Manaba Aier of Hollotoli School had to satisfy with the 3rd position. Prachi Prashant Sawant of Army Public School, Rangapahar was awarded the Best Interjector.
A panel of four were Anjan Behera, Asst. Professor,(English) St. Joseph University; Dr. Yanbeni Kikon, Asst. Professor (Pol. Sc), ICFAI University, Nagaland; Dr. H. Salome Kinny, Asst. Professor (Linguistics and Translation Studies) ICFAI University; and Dr. Longchanaro Longkumer, Asst. Professor (English) ICFAI University. The occasion was also graced by the presence of teachers from the participating schools which concluded with lunch.
