DIMAPUR, MARCH 6 (MExN): The Annual Games and Sports Meet for St. Anthony School, Tenyiphe was inaugurated on March 6 with Loguseng, Engineer, as the Chief Guest. In his speech, the Chief Guest stated that “sports benefit human beings physically, recreationally and professionally.” A press note stated that the Chief Guest equated sports to an industry wherein nations, groups and individuals alike have advanced not just physically and mentally but financially as well. Encouraging the students to enjoy their annual sports week through active participation, the Chief Guest asserted that above everything else, sports days are the field wherein human values like honesty, hard work, cooperation, patience and determination are tested in every student.
Earlier, Rev. Fr. Sabu Chenackal, Principal, welcomed the dignitaries, parents and students and applauded the efforts put in by the Staff and Students of St. Anthony School in organizing a grand inaugural programme. The highlights of the inaugural function included St. Anthony toddlers’ presentation of a welcome Song, Aerobic Displays, March Past and Choreography.
