DIMAPUR, APRIL 4 (MExN): St Francis Xavier Catholic Church observed Easter Vigil 2021 with rest of the world with candle light procession led by Reverend Father Siby John, Parish Priest from Ezalo to the Church premises on April 3.

Reverend Father John Poji, Administrator of MSW College Dimapur on Easter Sunday asked the faithful to fill with peace, joy and happiness with the resurrection of Christ forever in the hearts, family and wherever they go. 

“The risen Lord had conquered the evil and forgave the people’s sin and urged to walk and manifest in the light of Christ Jesus,” Fr Poji added. He called upon the people to give their burden to the “risen Jesus who overcame death,” and asked the gathering to be guided by the life of Jesus. 

Father Siby John, in the homily, meanwhile recalled St Paul’s hope, faith and love for the Christian life. The light of Christ was the divine light for those who believed, he stated. 

Baptism, renewal of baptism, blessing of holy water, sprinkle of holy water to faithful, sacrament of reconciliation with God, blessing of new fire, reading the words of God, enchanting of Gloria, Eucharist celebration, renewal of baptism followed by fellowship meal were the highlights of the sacred feast days.
